A Gaza Doctor's Journey: Conversation With Prof. Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish

Born in Jabalia Refugee Camp in Gaza, Prof. Abuelaish is a Palestinian-Canadian physician, human rights and peace advocate, and founder and leader of the Global Institute for the Study of Socio-endemic Diseases, Hatred, Health and Peace (GISED) at KU Leuven. He is also the author of the memoir “I Shall Not Hate” where he details his life growing up and living in Gaza and the loss of his three daughters, Bessan, Mayar, Aya, and their cousin Noor, who were killed by two Israeli shells fired into their home in 2009.

This will be an incredible opportunity to hear Prof Abuelaish speak about his life work and his perspective on peace, health, and a path to justice.

The documentary based on the memoir "I Shall Not Hate" will be screened the night before (20th of April), at 6:30pm, at Cinélux Geneva. This will be followed by a discussion with Pr. Dr. Abuelaish. Registration is possible through this link.
